At Manor Stone we have always participated in community events and projects. Indeed, Tom Hennessy (our Director) is a familiar face at events in, and surrounding, Laois.

Continuing with this, we have an open invitation to all community groups such as Active Retirement groups, ICA’s and Gardening Clubs to come along for a visit. We will do a short presentation on a seasonal topic such as Planting Potato Towers, Pallet Gardening, Climbing Plants and Hanging Baskets. After which, we provide light refreshments with home-made cakes made by a local Baker. Also as a special thank you we offer 20% off all purchases made by the group.

If you are interested in bringing your group for a visit please contact us on 05787 34870.

On 5th April we were joined by the folks from TARA: The Tullamore Active Retirement Association. The 31 strong group joined us for a chat and demo about “Sowing Potatoes in Towers” and “Planting Hanging Baskets”. They enjoyed refreshments including home baked cakes by Niamh from Aghaboe Farm Foods. Great fun was had by all, especially Eileen and Marie who got to take home the hanging baskets made for the demonstration.
